Good Bye...

It is with great sadness we have posted on FaceBook and Instagram that we will be closing our truck permanently, and selling the truck off after only opening for less than a year.  Unfortunately, the economics of the area along with high food costs have made it difficult to continue to provide the quality food we wanted to maintain and cover our expenses.

We tried very hard to bring something new to the Greeneville area and it just didn't seem to be widely accepted. We had nothing but great reviews on the food, we did the marketing, we even added technology no other truck had for online orders, and  order ready texts, but other forces seemed to prevent us from moving forard including logistics, weather, and lack of interest or support from others.  Oddly, people said that "fancy advertising", an expensive truck, and advanced POS systems weren't needed, just word of mouth will get you through.  Unfortunately, it became apparent quickly that word of mouth wasn't there , which indicated just not enough people wanted what we had to offer, even for so simple a reason as they didn't like our name.  Some have even told us "The community is better off without you", if you can believe that.

People "say" they want to support small business, and for some it's what they do it regularly, we personally fall into that camp.  For many others, instead they choose to support the larger chains becuase it's cheaper even though the product is inferior.  In all honesty I regret ever making the decision to open a small business, (especially food related), here in Greeneville, which has been my home for over 10 years, yet we were made to feel like complete outsiders.

In the end, we have to do what makes sense for our family financially as we spent a lot of our savings on the business, and it became clear, while we had many supporters that we are thankful for, they alone could not carry us forward.  I am sorry to those that supported us for failing you, but a lot more people failed us by not supporting our efforts.
