The Wicked Pissah Deli is always looking for highly motivated people to work in our fast paced mobile kitchen. We setup five days a week from 11:00-4:00, as well we some weekend events and festivals. Our customers have already come to expect great service and quality foods in a timely fashion even in our short time up and running. Everyone on our truck does every job. We all take orders, we all cook, we all clean dishes. We also have fun. This part time position is for someone that has cooking experience and people skills. You will be responsible for making hot and cold subs and dishes. You will also need to take orders at the window, and send them out as they are ready as well as communicate effectively with the team. All employees clock in and out for shifts and all customer gratuity is split equally between clocked in employees. You can choose to work all available days or only the ones you are free. Punctuality is a must and you will meet us each morning for setup and prep. The entire team also does breakdown and clean up at the end of the day. Candidate must be comfortable working in tight quarters, safely handle food and equipment.


  • Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
  • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
  • Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
  • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc
  • Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
  • Prepare simple subs and salads
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
  • Taking customer orders at the window as needed


  • 2 years Commercial Kitchen Experience Preferred but not required
  • Current ServeSafe Food Handler Certification preferred
  • Verbal communication skills are a must
  • Proven experience as prep cook
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
  • Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
  • High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; Training from a culinary school will be an asset
  • Very good physical condition and endurance
  • Ability to climb steps into and out of the truck daily
  • Must be able to lift at least 40-50 pounds to help manage food deliveries

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: Hourly based plus pooled tips


  • 6 hour shift during weekdays
  • Varying Weekend availability
  • As Needed
